The Official Opening of Holiday Inn Cairo Citystars
Minister of Tourism, H.E. Mr. Zoheir Garana and Cairo Governor, Dr. Abdel Azim Wazeer opened recently the Holiday Inn Cairo Citystars Hotel in the presence of the board members of Golden Pyramids Plaza; the owning company of the Citystars project; Sheikh Abdul Rahman Turky, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Sharbatly, Eng. Hassan Sharbatly and Mr. Yehia Kojek, together with Michel Tourniaire, Area Director of Operations Egypt and General Manager Semiramis InterContinental, Thierry Perrot, Area General Manager IHG Citystars Cairo and General Manager InterContinental Cairo Citystars, Volker Windhoefel General Manager Holiday Inn Cairo Citystars and a group of journalists and key members in the field of tourism.
The Minister of Tourism and Cairo Governor took a tour around the hotel, then Mr. Garana gave a speech at the end of his tour, thanking the owners of this great project; Citystars and all those who participated in building this brand new modern hotel in Cairo.
Sheikh Abdul Rahman Sharbatly welcomed the attendees and thanked them for helping in bringing this project to reality to serve the tourism sector in Egypt in order to cope with the increasing number of tourists every year.
Holiday Inn Cairo Citystars adds 311 rooms and suites to the total numbers of rooms in Cairo, making a total of 1000 rooms in Citystars alone. It is the first Holiday Inn hotel in Cairo and is considered the latest hotel to open for InterContinental hotels group in the Middle East.
