The Stars Shopping Festival at Stars Centre - CityStars
Stars Centre at CityStars launched its third annual shopping festival on 20 February 2008; the Stars Shopping Festival. This has been the biggest promotion for the centre so far, especially after the opening of its second phase which doubled the number of stores. The Stars Shopping Festival was an innovative concept that impressed all visitors and further endorsed the complex's position as Cairo's newest and most attractive landmark. This mega promotion is Egypt's biggest retail promotion, with prizes worth hundreds of thousands of Egyptian pounds.
The Stars Shopping Festival was developed in alignment with CityStars' latest "Cairo's Capital" advertising campaign and represented Stars Centre as the capital's terminal. The prizes encompassed free airlines tickets to different destinations around the world and 2 valuable grand prizes. Participants collected visas using the receipts of their purchases and attached them to their CityStars passport. Once passports were completed, participants chose their preferred destination and entered the various draws on the airline tickets.
The draws of the Stars Shopping Festival took place amid celebrations at Stars Centre's two main atriums featuring innovative jazz music. Lucky participants won air flight tickets to Europe, the USA and the Arab Gulf. Winners were also given the chance to win free roaming minutes offered by Mobinil.
The Stars Shopping Festival also offered 2 valuable grand prizes of free shopping vouchers worth L.E. 25,000 each from the following stores at Stars Centre:
- Nike
- Nike Women
- Springfield
- Springfield Women
- Cortefiel
- Toutcomptefait
The Stars Shopping Festival is sponsored by Mobinil and Pepsi.
