Citystars Wins a Prestigious Global Award

At the spectacular Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach Florida; home of the world-famous businessman and developer Donald Trump, and amongst a list of leading regional and international finalists, the Developers & Builders Alliance's (DBA) annual event was held to honor the best achievers in industry related professions. Citystars Properties received the Top Honor '08 Award during the event, which is the Alliance's most prestigious tribute.

The City of Stars project in Sharm El Sheikh was chosen as the best international project of the year 2008 and, based on this achievement, the developing company of the project was nominated to receive the Top Honor '08 Award from the Developers & Builders Alliance (DBA).

This eminent award is given to individuals and companies with exceptional dedication and determination and is considered the 'Oscar' of awards, as well as being equivalent to receiving 3 awards in one. The Top Honor '08 Award is commemorated to those who positively affect all aspects of their industry, for community involvement and philanthropic donations and for the large-scale status and magnitude of existing and projected real estate developments. This award is an explicit and clear recognition of the quality of the company's projects and its achievements on the global level, in addition to the confidence in Citystars Properties' commitment to excellence. The award also supports the process of internationally marketing the company's set of new projects.

The Top Honor '08 Award was presented to the Vice Chairman of Golden Pyramids Plaza S.A.E. and one of its founding shareholders; Mr. Hassan Sharbatly. Golden Pyramids Plaza S.A.E. is the owning company of the integrated real estate complex; Citystars Heliopolis, and all other projects of Citystars Properties. Moreover, Mr. Hassan Sharbatly was made Honorary President of the Developers & Builders Alliance for the year 2009 and accepted the honor from the current Honorary President; Ms. Evangeline Gouletas, Former First Lady of New York City and eminent businesswoman who has worked on several million-dollar real estate developments in the United States.

One day prior to the annual event; on November 7, and in an exclusive hall at the Mar-a-Lago, the DBA held an international conference gathering top industry leaders and panelists to discuss financial, social, technical and environmental issues to ameliorate the current globe-encompassing financial turmoil. Mr. Hassan Sharbatly closed the sessions by describing shareholding and management of Citystars Properties projects in Egypt and their mega-scale mixed-use nature, which is the best the industry has to offer in terms of latest technologies, materials and alliances. He exemplified the need to look for ways to form strategic alliances across the globe as to positively impact financial, social, technical and environmental issues. Furthermore, he stressed that, under the circumstances, this is a time full of new opportunities and he ended his statement by describing Egypt as a country filled with opportunities in diverse industries and described it as a country filled with riches. Mr. Hassan Sharbatly finally pledged to bring in active new players to the global alliance and to be an active team player for the year 2009.
